The Hope Calendar is published by photographer Debi Gomez (Life's Images) as a charitable fundraiser.  Over $9000 has been donated to charities in the first 2 years.  The calendar features Houston area children in an inspirational photo calendar reminding all of us to hope...
for a cure...
for a better life...
for the simple pleasures of a child's smile.

The 2010 calendar is themed "Hearts of Hope" and features children in their simply natural way of being hopeful in a beautiful, simple, heart-tugging 12-month calendar.  The Hope Calendar does more than inspire "hope" - by raising funds for local charities it turns hope into reality.

With the tremendous support of local businesses (listed on the sponsor page) and some very generous individual people, the Hope Calendar is able to donate ALL profits to the chosen local charity. This year, the calendar sales benefit  It's My Heart, a non-profit organization providing support, awareness, education and advocacy for those affected by Acquired and Congenital Heart Defects.

The Story: The Hope Calendar began with a mom on a mission to make a difference in the community... in a much bigger way than she could possibly do alone. "I envisioned a fun way to get the community excited and involved in a large charitable project to raise lots and lots of money for local charities... which also tapped into my own talents." Debi, a local photographer (Life's Images), photographs the children featured each month and publishes the Hope Calendar.

Local businesses sponsor the cost of printing and some very special volunteer moms and business owners help to get the calendar out! Our goal is to make the calendar an exciting annual event which area families are excited to own while raising awareness (and a significant amount of funding) for each year's chosen charity!
